If they fight there should be a stipulation; Every round Conor survives Floyd gives up part of the purse or something.
Otherwise it'll be the worst fight ever. Dodge for a few rounds then the fights called in the third or fourth while Conor is stumbling around claiming he's fine. Not much interest in seeing that round 1-2 where Floyd does his best dancing with the Stars routine.
I'd rather see Floyd just finish it in round 1 than fake like it's a fight as that will be embarrassing for all parties involved.
When asked what Conor has Van Heerden says he is good with timing.
When we were talking about his technical ability I said he isnt technical.....he is awkward with good timing.
Im realistic with giving Conor props on what he actually does really well and I was called a hater and not giving him credit.
It is what it is. Boxing is not MMA not even close to the same thing. Conor has good hands in mma but not good boxing. Throwing hands off kicks is not boxing. Throwing hands alone in a mma cage is not boxing.
So many people here think HANDS = BOXING. No. No it does not.
Go check the threads. A few people said he was a good boxer and a couple give him a chance. And a couple expect he would make it to a decision.
I never said people expect him to win or give him a good chance. Read.
When i said he isnt technical with his hands I got backlash. Compared to a boxer he has no technique. Compared to Nate Diaz his boxing isnt that good even in mma.
Perhaps you missed the threads of people acting like me saying that meant I was hating on Conor and making him out to be mediocre.
Why are you specifying the rear hand uppercut then? If you said "It's in an 8 sided cage so how's it boxing?" then your point wouldn't have been as stupid. You specifically mentioned the uppercut as though it's not a boxing technique.
I pretty much completely agree with you, I just don't classify it as such. It's still boxing in that a lot of MMA fighters go, practise their boxing technique with pure boxing coaches, and then take things and adapt it to the rest of their game and some other things.
But yeah in the cage and in the ring are very different things. A lot of aspects cross over but MMA to boxing requires a lot of shit a lot of guys won't predict.
Is Van Heerden making excuses in saying he hasn't laced up his gloves since he last fought on 4/16/2016?
Eh. I don't know about that.
