It certainly can. I am not even betting anymore this year. I am sick of losing the obvious!

I think shogun will destroy Griffin..... Its one of those fights that will be both sad and exciting I think in the end.. I enjoy Forrest just cause he is such a likeable, humble and cool guy and really hopes he stays around no matter what the results, but I cannot see this going his way.

anyone know if Dana is looking at Ninja as well, or just Shogun? Still plenty more good fighters to come from Pride. Downside is there are so many I like watching and having them all in one place increases the chance of them being relegated to the dustbin if they have a couple losses.

As far as Ninja goes he just lost the MW title to Lawler in Elite XC. There are rumors of Chonan and Mach coming over. I think Cro Cop is the only "Pride" guy to go totally to shit, Herring and Big Nog I think need more Octagon time to see how bad they are. On the flip side we had Hendo, A. Silva, Rampage, come over looking fine. I think the idea of Pride guys doing badly in the UFC is kind of far fetched, its more about the fighter and his camp IMO.

Ya I don't think many of the UFC guys have had to deal with the brazilian style yet..It was extremely dominating for a while there. Nog was amazing to watch but I think the beatings may be catching up to him as he is past his peak I think..hope I am wrong.
Although I 'love' watching Mirko, I always thought he was a bit of a one-trick poney..(don't get me wrong..certainly one exciting one!) and would soon be neutralized. Nog said it best..when you are champ, contenders only need to learn to defeat one style...but you need to learn to defeat many. The last Pride grand prix showed where Mirko's heart was..said he was gonna retire if he didn't win.. I can't see him doing much more in UFC.

Elite XC..is that broadcast? I gotta start following these other leagues..

I don't know, I thought Nogueira looked good in his last fight, showing some really good stand-up. He took the kick, sure, but he recovered and then went right back to punching Heath's face some more. I don't think it's caught up to him yet, but he did take some serious damage in his past fights. I mean, Fedor took years off his life in their first fight. Still, I see him capturing the title, that is, I hope he does. If Fedor signs, I don't, but if Fedor doesn't, then I do.
