There is no way you can dismiss or belittle Forrest Griffin's achievement.
I'm not belittling it. but you just can't dismiss the fact that Rua gassed badly after 6 minutes. Or do you actually think that Forrest is now one of the top guys.

i thought cardio was a part of fighting. if you have bad cardio, you're not a good fighter. its not how you start but how you finish. how can you call a guy with such shitty cardio great?

Forrest has earned his top10 spot, but it's not like Rua lost much in the rankings. Despite gassing out, he showed a lot of heart and adapted rather well to the UFC ruleset.

That division is pretty chaotic right now. I'd guess a Griffon v Jardine rematch is in the works to really determine where those two go from here. Wanderlei could step right into a title shot, or perhaps a rematch against Henderson (if he's staying at 205 that is) to determine a #1 contender.

So how does that make Forrest the "real deal", if after all he's done is beat a fighter with shitty cardio!! It works both ways. What are you? 12!!

If Forrest had won by KO/TKO/Dec I would have said no change. But for him to win by RNC is just awesome. Maybe it was great, maybe it was just the opponent. But we can't deny that Forrest's ground defense and take downs are vastly improved. SO yes, I think he is better than before.

I thought Shogun would maul Forrest.
Im not a Shogun fan either!!!

I was so happy when Forrest chocked him out.

I think it makes Forrest fit to be in th UFC and be a threat. I dont know how high he is on the rankings, but after tonight the ranks are completely shot.

Pride is gone

OK two things here .... Forrest Griffen is the real deal, if you cannot handle that reality.... FU.

Shogun LOST the fight. NO matter how you slice it Griffen WON!!!

I will not take another jackass tell me how PRIDE is better. Stop it RIGHT NOW we are not listening.

UFC is the PREMIER Organization on this planet, shut the **** up about PRIDE, it is over.

NOW anyone wanna talk shit about FORREST?
