Is Chuck getting too old? Time to call it quits?

Let me start by saying Randy Couture is an exception. He seems to be getting better with age. If he didn't come off as such a great person, I'd say he was juicing. But whatever.

Chuck, perhaps it's time he hang it up? Lets face it, he will NEVER be champ again. There is no way he's beating Hendo, Rampage, or any of the other top fighters. Maybe he should go ahead and bow out with some dignity?

P.S. I actually like Chuck, so don't think I'm bashing him. I'd rather see him bow out then to start getting desperate and losing to some real nobody type fighters.

His performance had nothing to do with age, he didnít gas (Jardine looked just as tired and more marked up). Chuck needs to reinvent himself if he wants to continue as a top-level fighter.

Why doesnít he train some Muay Thai or BJJ? No one is going to leg kick you to death if theyíre afraid of getting taken down and dominated.
Chuck sticks with what worked in the past, a one-dimensional game plan, counter punch and look for the KO shot.

Unless he leaves his camp (which sucks IMHO) and adds to his MMA tool box heíll never be a top fighter again (and Iím a big fan of his).

MMA is evolving, keep up or get left behind.

Man i just could not understand what the hell Chuck was doing in this fight. I fully expected Chuck to come out and drop this fool. I was amazed at Chucks inability to land any significant shots whatsoever. It was almost hard to watch Chuck like this, i mean now he cant say that he got caught like he did in the fight with Rampage, all he can say is that he sucks and got beat by a fighter who is no where near as good as him. I dont think this has anything to do with Chucks age, its obvious that hes just not their mentally. I even called Forrest Griffin beating Shogun, but Jardin beating Liddell by decision i could never have predicted this in a million years.

It's sad IMO, I always liked Chuck. I think his days are numbered.
I guess he could start learning some BJJ, but isn't it a bit too late to teach him BJJ or something? I mean, after he mastered it, he would definitely be too old. I just can't see him going much further. There is too much talent in the UFC now.

Ya, I think he needs to get some bjj in his game, it would be cool for him to be a world class striker and good on the ground. Lok at what Forrest did he improved his ground game and actully got a RNC, who expected that???

I was actually supprised he didn't get it earlier. Shogun gave his back up like 4 times before Forrest actually got the rnc. Plus, forrest got a rnc before, I forgot who it was against, but he got it.
