The Octagon made no difference!

In last nights fight of Shogun vs. Griffin being in a cage made no difference. They pushed up against the cage a few times and thats it. Forrest did not use the cage to put Rua in foriegn territory. For the most part it was in the center of the Octagon.

what did make a difference is that Shogun has no roids. He is a small flabby LHW. He needs to drop down to 185. He is smaller than Bisbing for godsake. Its not like Shogun even looked remotley decent last night. He sucked the whole time. He gassed at 6 mins in. THATS WITH A MINUTE + break.

I can't wait until Fedor losses too. This is great!

Why does everyone say shogun used roids? I don't know much about the guy TBH, was he busted for juicing or something?

Is everyone forgetting that Anderson Silva and Rampage made a great transition from ring to cage. Why is it that so many people believe Pride fighters will fail in the octagon, because Shogun and Cro Cop did? Get real!

I don't think it's just the cage, but some of the other rules as well. Rua did make good use of the elbows though.

The Octagon always comes into the play. The Pride ring and the UFC Octagon are entirely different. It's not just about the ropes and the cage. For one, the Octagon is friggin enormous and there are no corners; thus, fighters are typically prone to moving around more without fear of being pinned into a corner, which is a very vulnerable position to be in. Stalking your opponent is just a lot harder in an Octagon.
