I gotta go with Griffin/Machida for the title shot. Right now, IMO, they are the only two "worthy" of a title shot. Throw Shogun either Jardine or Alexander either would make for a good fight. Tito/Rashad are tied up still, Liddell is on the edge right now and Hendo needs to figure what if he is staying at LHW or going to MW.

I worry about Machida. Although the guy doesn't know how to lose, he unfortunately fights in an org. that awards finished fights and excitement.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back into hibernation for a while.

Man, I thought Machida looked great last night, and I'm glad I stuck to my guns in defending him in the Shogun/Lyoto matchup that never happened. Now I definitely think Lyoto would've won that! =)

Anyways, I like the idea of pairing up Forrest with Machida to decide who the next title contender is. It could be a bit of a snooze fest, but throw them in on a stacked card and see what happens. I see Lyoto taking it as his standup is just disgusting good, but who knows. He didn't look the least bit tired at the end of his fight with Nak (If I remember correctly) and he was whooping his chubby little butt. If not Forrest, than maybe pair him up with Jardine. I think that'd actually be the more interesting matchup.

This is how it should go right now:

Jardine/Silva
Shogun vs Ortiz/Evans
Machida/Liddel

I really don't see why people think Forrests' fights are boring. The guy brings it. As for Machida I thought he schooled Mach. Great fight for Lyoto. I would really like to see him fight Shogun. This is a fight I have wanted for a while now and the contrast of styles I think would make for one hell of a fight.

Forrest and Machida definitely need to fight. They were supposed to fight 2 times already but Forrest got staph the first time and asked for Shogun the second.

Machida will tool Forrest though. I think Forrest actually saved himself by going against a new-to-cage Shogun.

This guys fights get more and more boring everytime. I want him to fight someone who will actually fight or force him to do the same because even though he is undefeated, no mainstream fans will really care until he makes an explosion

Haha, I saw him defend takedowns, mount and takedown the much better judo practitioner. Sounds like perfect MMA credentials to me. He gets the job done when in the octagon.

Hell, I think he is the most technically sound striker in the division. He is a true counter puncher so he may pose problems for Forrest.

I thought Lyoto put on a great performance, I can't believe that the betting odds were 2 to 1 on him. Sure glad he won though, he's the only reason I still have points. Thanks Lyoto!
