Forrest vs. Wanderlei

This isn't official, but i was just watching ESPNEWS and they had Mike and Joe talking about the Jardine/Liddell outcome. Mike asked Joe what was next for Liddell and Joe said that Liddell needs to go back to the drawing board, because he was supposed to fight Wanderlei in December, and now it looks like we could see Forrest Griffin facing Wanderlei Silva on December 29.

Again, I don't want everyone to take this as set in stone, but this would be a great match. Wanderlei has faced larger LHW and even HW fighters and has faired well against them, so I don't think Forrest's size will be a factor.

Anyways, who do you think would take this fight?? Do you see Wanderlei avenging Shogun's loss, or do you see Forrest pulling out yet another upset victory??

Just because I'm more of a Chute Boxe fan I'd love to see Wanderlei avenge Shogun's loss for his fallen stablemate. That doesn't mean I don't still want to see Wandy vs. Chuck as well though...

It it worked out that way, id prefer if Griffin lost, not because i have sumthin against the guy, i do find him quite entertaining, its just im finding it ennoyin to see all these fighters i loved from pride, comin to the ufc an gettin bitch slapped around an made to look incredibly over-hyped.

I think I would rather have this thing with Forrest, Jardine and Alexander cleared up first. They need to fiddle around a bit to decide the order of precedence between them.

I would prefer to see Wandy get a decent introductory fight first. Someone who's proved they belong in the UFC but not a big name.

I was thinking of this fight the second UFC 76 ended. It would be nice to see Wandy avenge Shogun's loss.

I do not want to see Chuck Lidell fight Wandy if he is going to be on an apparent downward slide.

Maybe on the undercard of a Forrest/Wanderlei fight, we can have Cro-cop vs Lidell in an exibition match held in an old folks home. They could take take out their dentures and gum each other in submission.

I just wanna see Wanderlei fight! It's been too long.

Alexander Vs Wanderlei would be sweet though I'm sure.

I want to see what happens with Alexander if the fight goes to the ground or lasts more than 2 minutes.

I see Wanderlei doing much better against Forrest than Shogun did and quite possibly beating him. On the feet he will do well and neither Forrest or Wanderlei will want the fight to go the ground.
