it's definitely a puss move, but, nontheless, it's smarter decision, since he'd be a big lightweight and he's a decent fighter that can push the pace. and yeah, we just might see him fight better at lightweight.

If Hendo moves down to MW, you better be the first to bash him then.
Except that, you know, Henderson's fought at MW before.

Instead of training on certain things (Striking for one), Diego feels the need to just move down so he will be the bigger fighter. It's a smart move, but man, that doesn't disguise the fact that it's somewhat of a cheap move to do. I mean, why improve when you can just move down in weight? It's like he knows he can't beat Koscheck & Fitch, so he's going to go elsewhere.

He's probably feeling very frustrated right now, because Fitch just plain overpowered him. Maybe he's worried guys like GSP and Hughes would just do the same thing to him.

I hope he stays at welterweight, because I'm sick of seeing everyone drop classes when they lose, but I bet BJ vs. Diego would be crazy on the ground.

Wow. I remember when he was fighting at 185. I think he should stay at 170, he is still a good fighter at that weight. If he fought Jon Fitch again, he could win. It's not like Fitch totally dominated him or anything, it was a good fight. The same goes with Josh Koscheck, I don't think that if they fought 5 times that Kos would win all 5. He is not a contender right now but I would definitely put him in my top 5 at 170 in the UFC.

Well obviously I know Hendo has faught at MW, I'm not an idiot so no need to speak in a condesending manner.

It's the same thing. Hendo said before the Rampage fight he was going to stay at 205 because what is the point in cutting wait if you don't need to.

When your fighting against guys that are clearly stronger and have much bigger frames (something you can't teach) then what else are you supposed to do? Keep working your ass off, and let the losses pile up, or take a risk and move down a weight class?

Who cares, let Diego make the decision that he feels is best.

When I was wrestling and people would drop weight to avoid guys they couldn't beat we would always call them *****'s. So I agree its a puss move, but this is his livelihood so I will allow the puss move.

Diego couldn't take Fitch down. He worked a good sub game, but Fitch overpowered him.

.....your kidding right? Sanchez is 5'11 and size is no issue at welterweight. As far as muscle mass maybe, but some of these guys (swick, fitch) need to fight where they belong. A 6'0 tall welterweight is a freak thing, as its difficult to have any strength at that height at 170. Lightweights normally in my mind can be anywhere from 5'6 to 5'9 for good strength, welterweights say 5'7 to 5'10, ect. Ive given this alot of thought in the past, and realized that depending on your body type for your weight class, you have certain advantages and disadvantages (obviously). Look at a guy like paulo filho, a shorter, strong as hell middleweight who BELONGS there with his frame. Then you have rich franklin, who is not as strong but can strike more effectively
