This definitely works for me. I've wanted to see Wanderlei vs. Houston since before the Sakara fight. It'll be a slugfest. And you know Jardine vs. Griffin will be a good time.
The winner of the eventual No. 1 contendership would have a very legitimate claim to the title shot.

What the hell are some of you people talking about?

The winner of this fight and the winner of this fight should fight for the #1 contendership? Well that's all fine and dandy but there's one problem, WHO THE HELL IS RAMPAGE GOING TO FACE? You want Rampage to fight someone who doesn't deserve a shot while that crap is going on? We don't want to wait around forever like the goddamn welterweight division.

Either Lyoto or Forrest should be the #1 contender, it's as simple as that. You don't have to have 5-6 straight wins in the UFC to get a title shot. Lyoto has been good in the UFC, Forrest just defeated the apparent #1 LWH in the world, give either one of these guys a chance against Page.

Rampage just came off 2 big wins and so far he hasn't even been rumored to defend until next year. We have time to find a #1 contender.

Lyoto's record is great -- and I've love to see him fight Rampage -- but if he gets the shot then no one will give a damn about the fight. Machida is still wearing the "boring" tag and hasn't beaten anyone with a name.

Forrest beat Shogun, so you could give it to him, but where does that leave Jardine? He beat Forrest, and just beat the most dominant light heavyweight organization has ever seen. Why should he get shoved to the side while Griffin fights for a championship?

In the meantime, you could give Rampage the Rashad vs. Ortiz II winner, I guess...

Is it possible that Wandy jumps in and gets a title shot now? He was assumed to fight a big name in chuck in december, but now it might be rampage? I hope so.

We already have a #1 contender, Lyoto or Forrest.

It would be hard to pick the fight of the night. All the fights were worthy of consideration. Forrest and Jardine should have a rematch with the winner getting a title shot.

That's why I said: Griffen vs Jardine 2 - Winner gets title shot.

FEDOR vs MACHIDA

What have you got against the Dean of Mean? Does beating Forrest and Chuck not count for anything?
