I think that it should go to Machida just because he is the only one that is actually on a winning streak besides alexander just because he needs atleast one more win. Either way Houston alexander next champ unless Soukoudjou gets signed.

I'd give the title shot to the winner of the Rashad/Ortiz fight. If Ortiz wins it'd be a great showpiece for him to fight Rampage. But as we know in UFC fights never go the way we expect them.

I also think Houston Vs. Griffin for title shot is the fairest.

Houston as a rising star that came out of nowhere, Griffin as an experienced crowd favourite that has won a fight that would put him into a title shot already if it weren't such a tough division.

After that title shot, Jardine should be awarded an opportunity.

What the f*ck would Tito Ortiz do to deserve another title shot? Out of all the top contenders he should be at the bottom of the barrel.

Pretty much either way whoever gets the shot its going to be very disputed and argued over at this point.

Good points. Machida's problem coming out of last night's fight is that the average fan has no idea how tough Nakamura is. The guy's got one hell of a chin, but people don't know it.

Ok, so maybe Ortiz isn't the top contender, but at least it'd be better than a Griffin/Rampage fight, Griffin has already lost to Jardine and Ortiz. Jardine has already lost to Rashad and Alexander.
Personally I'd put Alexander as number one contender if he has another impressive victory. Alexander/Griffin maybe?
Its a hard division to call, but as a fan I'd like to see if Ortiz can reclaim his title back.

The same "Machida should because he is on a win streak" mentality would actually mean that Bisping is a better idea. Bisping has actually impressed in fights, and finished several. Now, I don't think ANYONE wants to see him get a title shot, but imo he deserves one over Mach.
I think Forrest is next just because Dana can't have Rampage wait forever to fight again. Forrest or Wandy at least.
