...Sorry.

It is true though, his match vs Diego Sanchez was mucho boring-o, other than Diego going for lots of submissions and the cool slam Diego on his head move.
What do you consider fun then Wukka? Wild sluggin' and Judo? Are those the only things that can make an exciting fight? Fitch and Sanchez was a great chess match, and a great high caliber fight.

That was a great fight.

It was a good grappling match I definitely agree! But when did Fitch ever have Sanchez in trouble? Like I said before, Fitch had great submission defense, great TD defense, and great positioning, but very little to no offense. As a grappler myself of course this match was fun for me to watch, but as far as MMA goes, it was pretty boring.

Fitch did do more damage during the brief exchanges on the feet, as well as utilizing more effecting ground and pound.

The fight certainly wasn't a FOTY or anything but for a high caliber fight it was a great fight.

He definitely did more damage to Diego than Diego did to him, I agree with you there. Overall though, it was a match that lacked pretty much any striking at all. I give lots of credit to Fitch and his very good submission defense, but I think he played it kind of safe.

I agree there wasn't much striking, and I was really surprised by that. I had anticipated Fitch taking the Kos approach of using his better striking to out point Diego. I guess he felt comfortable with the ground though, and opted to just control the fight from there.

And see, this is the one thing most people(I am guilty of it sometimes too) forget. In high caliber fights, unless your name is Forrest Griffin or Genki Sudo, you got to be methodical and sometimes be a little safe. If Fitch would have taken more risks and tried hard to finish Sanchez, he'd have probably gotten subbed. That is why a fight between high caliber fighters like Fitch and Sanchez wouldn't be as fun as say Robbie Lawler vs. Chris Lytle.
