Oh yeah, definitely underestimated. Shogun has beaten some huge names, including UFC's current Light Heavyweight champ (BRUTALLY!). If he hadn't have gassed I think that fight would have gone differently. But still, Forrest is better than people figured him to be, and I thought that was the case prior to the fight as well.

You have got to be kidding me

No chance that fight was fixed, Your boy lost, plain and simple.

Everyone overestimated Shogun(who is still a top tier LHW despite this loss) and underestimated Forrest Griffen because he lost to Jardine and fought on TUF.

Not me though

I think it's still to early to tell. Forrest had the best fight in his life while Shogun had the most pathetic performance of his career. I'm going to hold off on making any judgements until they get a couple more fights under their belts.

Def underestimated forrest. He looked great, I always said he was for real. And while I didn't bet anything on him I said he would win!! It didn't look like a fluke, Forrest dominated. Shogun looked like he trained hard, he was using some good elbows and the first round he looked alright (before forrest pounded his head in).

Are you guys kidding? Shogun didn't gas he got the sh*t beat out of him. The reason he looked tired is because he was taking huge shots and was almost knocked out.

Forrest was severly underrated by hardcore's before this fight. I remember people saying stupid stuff like, "Bisping would destroy Forrest and make him cry again!" and, "Ramirez is going to destroy Forrest, because Forrest sux and is a crybaby!"

Of course, hardly anybody gave him a chance in the Shogun fight, saying dumb things like "There's no way Forrest can win this fight" and "You all know that Shogun is going to destroy Forrest in the first round." Well, of course, that didn't happen. Now, people are finally giving Griffin his props.

Also, it was only a matter of time before someone was going to say that this fight was fixed. That's ridiculous. Just live with the fact that Forrest made Shogun tap, and schooled him throughout the fight.
