I think a little bit of both. No one gave Forrest a chance because of the Jardine fight, but also no one thought about how this was Shogun's first fight in the octagon and in the UFC.

Definitly under estimated, SHOGUN should not have gassed, he probably could have won it. Was amazing to watch forrest win!

I like many others have underestimated Forrest in this fight, apparently Shogun did too.

After seeing Shogun dismantle Rampage, Overeem, Little Nog, Randleman I was expecting him to steamroll over Forrest.

Whats next for Shogun? Will they throw him a can?

Shogun was highly overestimated. Overhyped POS got me a pretty new sig. Last time I buy into the PRIDE hype, seems like everyone there besides Rampage fought little japanese girls.

as i said before, i thought shogun was smart enough not to underestimate forrest but it looks like he did anyway. i'd say shogun underestimated forrest, but he was certainly not overestimated (like some here said). if you think shogun was overestimated you CLEARLY haven't watched pride before.
