Rampage unlikely to fight again in 07!

Quinton Jackson’s Next Fight Unlikely in 2007 -- UFC news at MMAjunkie.com

I gues this takes off the Wandy match for December we were talking about but he needs to heal up.

I have to say, it makes sense. Only three months of the year left, and they need to do some work to clear up the contender picture before anyone gets a title shot. It seems to me that Jardine and Forrest need at least one more fight, and Machida and Alexander need at least two.

Yeah this is prolly a good thing that Rampage isnt fighting again in 07'. There is no clear cut #1 contender right now...and if you look at the poll I had up yesterday...even the peeps on hear dont have it clear cut.

I hope that the UFC has Machida, Forrest, Jardine, Wanderlei, Alexander and even Shogun in the ring by the end of the year. (Hopefully one of these matches is a #1 contendership match).

No big deal. Seems like there pacing some fighters to much now anyways, giving them fights every 2 -2.5 months. I think 3-4 times a year was best.

What is wrong with a fight every 2 months? As long as they're fit, who cares. The only problem i could ever see would be not having enough airtime for all the fighters to get a fair share of tv time and time to shine.

With Chuck's fall, the ufc needs to put Rampage on that level. Market the hell out of this guy while he's not fighting.
