Did anyone else see the look of dollar signs flying out of the window on Wand's face after judges decision was announced. Damn good job for the camera crew zooming in like that in the right moment.

Personally i don't see why this fight can't still happen. They are both coming off 2 losses and this match up can be last hope to remain anywhere close to the top.

this has been discussed several times, however I do agree with you that they are both coming of 2 losses so they should still fight. That UFC event would be so interesting if it was only fighters coming of losses

If they did it now it would not be a "Super Fight". They need to let Chuck do the retirement thing for a year or 18 months then throw out a few rumors of this fight and let it soak in for a while then make a big announcement that Chuck is coming out of retirement to fight Wandy. If they do it up right it can still be one of, if not the biggest, UFC ticket ever. :thumb02:

That's all very good, but you're asking a 37 year old to take a year and a half off, start trainin again, cause you know chuck'll get out of shape pretty quickly, and come back and expect to be in a superfight, Not going to happen. I wouldn't wana see chuck in 6 months time, never mind 18months. He's my favourate fighter ever but it's time to be realistic

Look of dollar signs flying out of the window on wand's face? Are you saying that Wandy fights for the money and not for the love of the fight? You're ridiculous... gtfo. He's been training religiously for his fight for liddell as it's been building up for quite some time which recently stated on his website. Now that fight won't be happening.

Wanderlei lost to 2 outstanding fighters. The Old CroCop and Dan Henderson. Liddell recently lost to a can who was basically thrown to him to build his confidence. I don't think Liddell fighitng Wanderlei would be an exciting bout, considering he's contemplating retirement and has lost the fire in his eyes according to dana's conversation with him.

Wandy needs to fight someone who's still hungry and has the fire in his eyes ---> griffen.

Wandy's a warrior. One of those guys who won't "lose the fire". Like a Randy Couture, fighting is what they were born to do. Money is just a good bonus. Guy's that always have goals.

Anybody notice Mayhem behind Vanderlei? Up some gifs people.

I agree, but I think the importance of the fight would have diminished substantially.

The whole purpose of their fight would be to see the two most dominant LHWs finally duke it out to see who was the best. Neither Wandy or Chuck are the best in the world right now, both are coming off of 2 straight losses so the significance just isn't there in seeing them fight.

I think the funniest thing Wanderlei said comes up in the UFC 76 post-fight conference, where Dana says: "I walked up to Wanderlei and said 'I don't think Chuck's going to win' and Wanderlei replied 'What the **** are you talking about? Chuck's winning this fight'."

I think that's pretty funny. Wanderlei wants to fight Chuck so badly that he actually was blind to the fact Chuck was getting bitch-slapped by a TUF contestant.

When they announced the decision Mayhem was there with his hands on his face and mouth wide open while Wandy shook his head, priceless stuff. The first time he showed off some serious bling on his hand that said Mayhem. Funny shit.

When Dana said that I spat out my water, was really funny actually

Fighting you would be fighting a "can" fighting Jardine... not so much. Keith is a real fighter that can hang in and be competitive with anyone at 205, I also dont agree that they tried to throw Jardine under the bus. I think that Dana saw a opportunity for both fighters to take a step forward and left it up to them to make it happen.

Griffen vs. Wandy is a fight Id love to see but so is Jardine vs. Wandy either way we win by getting to see a good scrap.

I don't know what dollar signs had to do with it. It looked to me liek he was disappointed that Chuck lost:dunno: :confused02: beings he does want to fight Chuck in December:dunno:
