I'm glad, this quitting talk might have been just him wanting to do less hours, less travel, i get that... UFC commentator is a really busy job these days. Hopefully they bring in 1-2 new people, leave Rogan for a big cards.
I don't blame him. It's not like he was locking in those comedy gigs the day before abroad as much as he does here. Secondly his job is still hard and takes up a lot of time filming those pre-fight promo things for the UFC. He also wanted the advantage to see how things went under new ownership. If he doesn't like it 1 year aint shit. If it goes well I'm sure he'll sign a longer contract with the same stipulations.
This one year deal is probably to test the waters on what all is going on. Also he maybe doing this as more of a part time deal because he wants to spend time with his family. Either way I wonder if WME-IMG will aim for a new guy.
