Ya dont need to keep Hughes in there to keep the steam in the WW, lots of talent in there even if ya do take Hughes out the equation.

I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see Hughes retire soon. If he beats Serra (which I think he will at the moment) I still see GSP layin an ass whoopin on him again.

After that I dont see him stickin around too much longer...although I would like to see Hughes Vs Penn III...

you guys dont think this could all be hype....i mean i dont see hughes retiring for another few years let alone 2 or 3 fights

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

There are things I don't like about Hughes but I agree with your post 100%. I would like to see him go out with some victories.

I like all the matches you posted except for the one with Swick. I'm a big Swick fan but I think Hughes would take him down and pound on him.

I also just found a wwe writer that Hughes pissed off because he said the UFC has taken over the WWE.

I see him pulling a Pat.

Retiring and building his camp up to one of the best around.

If he beats Serra he's going to be facing GSP again. If GSP beats him, then i think he'll retire.

Whats the point in continuing if you know you'll never hold the title again as long as GSP is in the picture? He's a career ending road block for Hughes.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

Let's break it down with wins and losses;

On the win side his fights would be;

Serra(1)
Gsp(2) Title fight
Fitch(3) Title fight

then retirement

On the loser side;

Serra(1)
Fitch?(2) Retiremnt

Win/Lose side;

Serra(w)
GSP(l) retirement
Match with Bj Penn

I'd like to break it down further but I'm eatting and will just read what others have to say.
