GSP. Everyone else has holes.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

He's also the same guy who smoked Trigg, Hughes, Sherk, Mayhem Miller, & Josh Koscheck. If anything, he'll learn from the Serra loss.

You forgot Karo. I think GSP coming in and beating Karo in his UFC debut was very impressive.

Yeah, I don't like to mention that fight, though, because I'm such a huge Karo fanboy. But still, nice win for GSP, as he basically just overwhelmed Karo after the first round. He also smoked Jay Hieron like it ain't no thang at UFC 48, which was very impressive since Hieron is a solid fighter.

The Mayhem beating was great, and probably my favorite GSP beating. The guy just whomped the poor guy, and Mayhem was smiling the whole time.

Here's something odd/cool to think about: Hughes vs Gracie was supposed to be the "New guard taking over" fight, but then GSP vs Hughes 2 happened afterwards (Well, after the Penn vs Hughes fight), so wouldn't it be "Really new guard taking over"?

Houston just smells blood, and goes after his prey. He's a tough fight for people who hate guys running at them and beating up on their face. I think Machida would just pick him apart with ease, though.

I kept asking myself why in God's name is Sakara clinching with Houston? Didn't he see him prison **** Jardine?

The guard is changing over. Liddell, Couture, Hughes, Franklin, Tito, etc. are all nearing the end of the line. Those guys are the original stars of the post SEG ufc. Rampage, Shogun, GSP, and others need to be built up accordingly. Especially Jackson, get him all the pr in the world.

I don't think that was due to a hole in his physical game. You could argue it was a mental hole, but i think it's been addressed now. Even the best strikers in the world get caught eventually...it just happens.
