Excellent summary from Ironman as usual!

Its really dependant on which Sylvia shows up for me.

If Sylvia comes out slow and tries workin the jab I can see Vera capitalizing with speed, taking a UD.

If its the Sylvia of old then all I have to say is Vera is in trouble.

Sense everyone says Tim is gonna win and seems like now a days the person who is the obvious favorite loses I am gonna go with Vera to win..

BJ The Prodigy Penn
Alexander The Mauler Gustafsson
Cain Brock Smasher Velasquez

People say he is bad purely because they don't like him but Tim Sylvia is a good striker and fighter.

I think Tim will win, If he comes out angry and fired up then we are in for a good show, If he comes out like he has recently and fought back and grinded it out then i think he will win by decision but like IronMan said if he comes out still shaken from beating beaten by a 44 year old man for 5 rounds then we may have a problem.

I agree with the majority of posters in here, Tim Sylvia whether you like him or not is top 10 HW material. He'll be the biggest challenge of Vera's career (no pun intended), we'll find out if Vera is the real deal or not. IMO, we'll see that he's more hype than fight.

I'm picking Vera simply because he has more speed and is in better shape. Vera hasn't really been tested but that doesn't mean he isn't a good fighter.

I'm going with Sylvia, say what you will about the guy but he has held the title and shown the ability to come back from a big loss.

Sylvia will have a distinct height and weight advantage (and before anyone says anything Vera is no Couture), I think Tim will be more focused coming into this fight and may even have some of that killer instinct that allowed him to win the title.

Lastly Vera hasn't fought in nearly a year and his last fight was a walk over win against a fresh on the comback Frank Mir, I'll start to believe he's as good as most say if he can walk in after all that down time and beat a former champ.

I see Vera landing a good punch on sylvia followed up by a tai-clinch and knees which will knock out sylvia.

Sylvia doing a jumping spinning flip axe kick to Vera's head would probably knock Vera out to but it's whether or not he can do it, It's MMA and anything can happen.

Although yours has more chance of happening then mine...
