Of course in huge part it's that most of these guys weren't in the UFC, but that's not enough to say that he can hang with them. He is less proven when weighed against the current top ten than Rampage.

Don't believe the hype people, don't believe the hype.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION (205-pound limit)

#1 Light Heavyweight Fighter in the World: Mauricio "Shogun" Rua

2. Quinton Jackson

3. Chuck Liddell

4. Dan Henderson

5. Wanderlei Silva

6. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou

7. Ricardo Arona

8. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

9. Tito Ortiz

10. Kazuhiro Nakamura
Well, Couture's pretty much a rare breed, so I wouldn't say that he was "too old for LHW." Dude did pretty good in that division, but Chuck was his road block. Those were 2 nice wins.

Ortiz was still a solid fighter when Chuck fought him the first time, only losing to Couture by decision. He was on a huge tear before that, beating guys like Wanderlei, Kondo, Sinosic, Vladdy, & a sideburny Kenny. Dude was a good fighter when Chuck whomped him. Ortiz had nothing to offer in that fight, and Chuck knew that.

The second time, I admit, Ortiz wasn't what he used to be, but he still put up a good fight. I mean, he did beat Forrest, in a fight that I thought he (Ortiz) actually won. Not a bad win for Liddell.

Rampage, himself, has some really solid wins, sure. Chuck (Twice), Arona, Vovy, Randleman, Henderson, Eastman, & the Donger. However, this topic is about Chuck. I dig Rampage, the guy is a good fighter, and I'm not comparing the 2.

There is no hype. Chuck beat some really solid fighters, and that's a fact. Couture, Babalu, Ortiz, Mezger, & Bustamante would give anyone hell.

Blah, blah, blah, rankings, blah, blah, blah.

No offense to Randy GNP, but I'm not sure where you made a real defense of Chuck not being one-dimensional.

Chuck relies on one punch to end fights. We all know he has wrestling and a ground game, but he only uses his right hand. Thats one dimensional to me...

With the exception of Randy Couture, who has Chuck beat that is worthy of the hall of fame?

Tito?

Who else? Lets be honest, with the exception of Couture, Chuck has knocked out a lot of good but not great fighters. Like a bar brawler.

I respect Chuck's KO power, but his lack of ground skills lead me to believe he will never be a champion again.

I agree with you.

Chuck's punching is great, however, overall his style is now obsolete...adapt or die Chuck.

Chuck has beaten Mezger, White, Bustamante, Suloev, Overeem, Belfort, Ortiz, Couture, Horn, Babalu, & Monson. That, my friends, is a nice list.

So, Chuck is a deserving fighter. Some hate him because he's a money maker for the UFC, and that's fine, but the guy helped the UFC out a lot.

You can add Kevin Randleman to that impressive list.
