Chuck was overrated before the Rampage fight but now he is pretty underrated. The guy is a lot like Cro Cop in that he is refusing to adapt to MMA right now but honestly I don't see why Chuck doesn't take a guy down once in a while he was a Wrestler and the shock of Chuck shooting in for a takedown alone might give the other fighter a heartattack.

Chuck is the another version of Mirko except UFC fans love Chuck and Love to hate Mirko and Chuck seems to to enjoy fighting a little bit more than Mirko.

How, exactly, does a former LHW champion suck as an mma fighter? Seriously, Chuck Liddell has some really solid wins against tough opponents. The guy smashed Couture & Ortiz twice. Contrary to popular belief, Tito is a really good fighter, and was one of the greatest champions in the UFC, carrying them through their dark days.

Babalu.
Ortiz.
Mezger.
Bustamante.
Couture.

Nice. I can see why someone wouldn't really enjoy Chuck's fights, because they're quite basic, but the dude did his shit well, beat some tough guys, and made his cash. Don't hate the guy for being successful. MMA fans like to kick fighters when they're down, but the fact remains that Chuck Liddell is a really good fighter who beat some really good fighters. He beat whoever they threw at him. Dude did his shit, don't hate.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. everything I've heard just proves my point. All of you who are making arguments against Chuck are obviously pretty new to MMA. I'm not saying he's a great fighter right now, I think he is too old and that there is a changining of the guard.

But all you guys seem to be forgeting (or having never known) what Chuck looked like before he was a superstar. He was well rounded (for the time) and had incredible power. He doesn't kick like he used to, we don't see the agresive striking (he didn't used to counter punch so much), and we don't see him on the ground any more.

All I'm saying is that you guys are disrespecting the legacy of one of the greatest fighters in last generation MMA. I agree that Rampage is better. I don't think Chuck will ever beat ramapge (and unless he goes on a major tear that opinion won't change). But chuck did alot for the sport. I remember before the rampage fight all kinds of people saying that Chuck was gonna knock him out. I also remember quite recently (before the Page fight) people saying that they'd pick Chuck over Wandy.

What I'm seeing is a very fickle fan base that jumps of the band wagon after two bad fights. If I came on here and said the shit you guys are saying before the page fight not a single person would have agreed. Remember a couple months ago when people were asking "Who can stop Chuck Liddell?" And, "Can any one dethrone Chuck?" Now look at what you're saying.

It's pathetic. And to answer one of the few respectable posts (don't know who it was) Chuck doesn't just have a big right hand. He has a great left hook and great kicks as well. Remember when he took out Belfort with leg kicks? Remember when he knocked out Babalu with a high kick? Remember the spining back kick he landed on Belfort??? That's without mentioning his BJJ Purple belt or his D1 wrestling skills.

If you are refering to my post. I was never a big time Chuck fan but I defiantly respect his accomplishments. Chuck has never been well rounded so honestly I don't know where you are going with that Chuck is and was always a sprawl and brawler. Unfortantly that style seems to be unable to work any more with the recent struggles of Cro Cop and Chuck.

Honestly Chuck was in my mind a top 5 LHW and at his best top 3 but he was never better than Wanderlei and after 2005 I feel Shogun past him.

Chuck is a hall of famer and contributed a lot and people who can't admit that are wrong but I hope you aren't a guy who rags on Cro Cop since the same thing that has happened to Chuck has happened to Mirko but worse.

i hate posting anything negative about Chuck because whenever i do crybabies like to negative rep me even when i have VALID arguments against Chuck in certain respects.

Ive said it a thousand times and i`ll say it again though i think that chucks record is over-inflated. You guys give all these names the Chuck fought and you say that hes amazing but you fail to remember "how did the fighter look that fight" and "was the fighter in a slump at the time or were they at the top of their game"

guys like couture, ortiz, belfort were all beaten because at the time they werent near the top of the class, other guys like randelman have a 50-50win ratio so whats to boast about?

at the risk of these losers negative repping me again i`ll just put that out as AT LEAST A THOUGHT. just think about it thats all i ask, im not saying that Chucks record is worth shit its worth a lot but if you factor in Pride at the same TIME as his fights when he was winning a Pride had the better fighters so Chuck was never properly tested when he was at the top of his game.

MAYBE he can come back, who knows Randy did it and he came back hard so maybe Chuck can as well.

Its not right to disrespect Chuck but at the same time dont make him into something hes not, he was never truely #1.
