Yeah, I'm well aware of the Pride weight limits buds. Besides what Damone said about Gomi wanting an all out war, I just kind of saw this coming out of left field. The guy isn't well known in America and wouldn't be much of a name for Davis(yeah I know he's ranked #1). Must be because Davis sees this as a great potential fight. His fight with Taylor was epic, and Davis getting his head kicked in is always awesome.

But it'd be a good fight, and I'd dig it. More points for me in the league baby.

Davis has really good stand-up, a good chin, good recovery time, and a solid ground game.

Gomi hits hard, takes shots to his chin, and is inconsistent.

I'm taking Davis on this one. If this happens, Gomi better bring his A-game.

I agree I think Davis a has an edge as far as the standup

Feelings ... What are those?

Gomi shouldn't be ranked #1 though. You can through every ranking you've seen out the window for the next year or two.

We now have all of these fighters converging into a makeshift MMA tournament of champions, and you cannot rank them before they've fought. Gomi is 0-1 in the rebirth of MMA.

I am going to take Davis just because I don't like Gomi. I can see Davis beating him on the feet, and espicially if Gomi comes in like he did in the Diaz fight, Davis will take it. Davis does have a good ground game, a good chin and good recovery. Gomi does hit hard, have good wrestling and good GNP, so I dunno. It smells like a pretty good brawl though.

I agree Damone, Davis has alot of heart. You saw in his last performance how he took that high kick, looked as if it was over. He comes back, then finishes the fight all in the first round, it was an impressive win to say the least. I'd pick Davis if he fought Gomi.

Gomi owns Davis. That's only if Gomi takes the fight seriously.

maybe, if gomi fights like he has been. granted, ill admit that davis has improved greatly (esp. since the show). Still, I'd give gomi the win over davis right now. i'd like to see davis fight one of the diaz bros. that'd be sickhouse.

Id love to see Davis take this, but man trying to brawl with Gomi when he hasn't been doing blow off Vegas hooker's chests the night before the fight is like throwing yourself in front of a bus.
