Fedor respect Randy too much?
After reading latest interview with Fedor he talks about how he respects Randy and wishes they could have been friends and not have to fight. I think this could play a huge part in the fight if he shows Randy too much respect.
I remember reading a interview with fedor where he said he submitted Mark Coleman instead of beating the crap out of him because he liked and respected him, he's gonna have to finish randy any way he can if they do fight, if he's picky choosing which way he wants to finish randy he's gonna be in trouble.
Plus no matter how much Randy respects anyone, in the octagon he doesnt give a crap, he tries to beat them into a bloody mess. Another factor in this fight is fedor bleeds really easily, and you know how many fights end in cuts in the UFC.
Any way, im gonna say it now, i predict randy winning Fedor when and if it happens. Got a funny feeling about this one. Everyone thought Cro Cop was going to walk through everyone, when he dint everyone said, it wont happen to shogun. It did and i think it will happen to Fedor,
I might be wrong but thought id share my thoughts

I would say no, Randy's fighting ability should be respected but you mean it in a different way. I don't think it matters. Anyway, I don't think Fedor will be able to stop Randy's takedowns. I really think Randy could beat him.
But yeah, nobody said this fight is going to happen.

I am starting to think Randy by TKO, as in unanswered punches or GNP

C'mon guys. Fedor is a cyborg. When the bell rings and the fight starts, the machine side takes over thereby negating any human emotions attached to Fedor's respect of Randy's fighting skills. That said, Fedor would not hesitate to attempt to beat Randy's brains in. If I'm not mistaken, aren't Fedor & CroCop "friends?" That didn't stop Fedor from sticking to his game plan of taking CC outside of his comfort zone in their fight.

Fedor doesn't mind fighting off his back. In fact he is pretty good off it. He subbed Coleman (when he wasn't just some old dude) after being taken down and Randleman. And that was after the ultimate takedown by Randleman, you must have seen that suplex right (Air Force One lol)? Now true these two aren't anywhere near as good as Randy in an overall aspect of MMA but they are/were hardcore at wrestling and controling their opponent when they got the takedown.
He fought Mark Hunt off his back too, defended an americana for what seemed like an age, then subbed him with a Kimura.
But I do see this as being one of the greatest fights ever in MMA. I'd go far as to say it's 50/50 or 60/40 in Fedor's favor.

You know what I think? I think alot of guys forget what fedor actually have done to fighters when they think of randy's last two performances, wich in my opinion..well, werent really that great..Tim.."wow"..after gabe took out the ufc crocop he was suddenly all that..well he wasn't.
I like couture. He seems like such a classy guy, but I really don't see him hanging in there with the almighty..

We've all seen the look on Fedor's face once he gets in the ring, he's like a cyborg on a business trip.
