I'll give Shogun props for not using the surgery as an excuse. He's one of my favourite fighters.
Whether it did or didn't though we'll never know. From the link anyway it didn't say what degree the tear was when he fought. It might have been torn 3/4 of the way; which definitely would have affected him. Or it might have been a mild tear that didn't affect his training or fighting.

I would love to see a Forrest Shogun 2. But not anytime soon.. Forrest won that match and I hate when they talk about instantly matching fighters back up, its like telling the winning fighter that his win wasnt worth much and you are putting him back in there to potentially lose.
The reasons I would like to see another Forrest Shogun fight, It was a disappointing fight for Shogun so it would be future revenge. Forrest can take a beating and stay to dish it out so he is just a good competitor to watch. Both fighters are great fighters, and I hope that in a rematch both would come in fully trained and ready to go the distance.
For the meantime though, Forrest won and should keep that win. I hope Shogun comes back in top shape and fights some other opponents and makes his way up to a title shot. Mmm dreams.

Well first, Forrest DESTROYED Shogun. There was no controversy and the fight did not go to the judges (thankfully).
A Bisping/Hamill II would make sense later because who does agree with the decision? You saying Hughes/GSP II you meen Hughes/GP III because Matt won the first time, then GSP won the second time. Tito/Rashad II would make sense for later on obviously because it was a draw.
Having Forrest/Shogun II makes absoltely no sense for right now. Later on it could, but more like a year and a half. The forrest/Shogun fight had NO controversy at all. Shogun was dominated every round and COMPLETELY gassed in the end of the 1st round. The fight has no similarities to the fights above... Thats why.

So haven't there been second matches even tho one guy "destoryed" the other guy? Rematches make big money and to be arbitary and throw it out the window is well dumb. Penn "destoryed" Hughes but he got a rematch for the title no less.

No I meant GSP/Hughes II because GSP came back from his loss and got a title shot-so maybe if Hughes hadn't had the title you don't think it would have happened? I don't again money maker exactly what Dana and Zuffa are all about-money.

I don't remember putting a time frame on it, I figure the fight will happen and maybe before shogun goes for the title if Rampage is still holding on to it.
So again rematches happen all the time, usually to help determine how good a fighter is, or to help determine a title shot. I feel we need to see a healthy, trained, and ready to kill Shogun fight a smart, brawling, 1-0 up Griffin rematch.

There is no point in having an instant rematch, let Shogun fight another top LHW to show he can adapt to UFC rules and build up his new fanbase(those who dont know him), give him Alexander or get Brandon Vera to drop to LHW.
Griffin has earnt a title shot so let him have either his next fight or the one after.
