Why is it everytime Shogun is in the hospital he has his shirt off in the bed. It was knee surgery, what does he need his shirt off for. Don't they normally give you something to wear lol. It's like when you go to the doctor complaining about headaches but they ask you to drop your pants, it's just pointless.

His wife was there to give him "support" I'm sure thats a good reason to be shirtless.

Forrest did not destroy Shogun, he finished a gassed Shogun late in the 3rd with a RNC. It was a great fight and Forrest definitely won, but he didn't "destroy" him. Destroying someone is Rick Davis vs Melvin Guillard

What a stud

That is my favourite knockout ever. He flatlines him and the punch goes from 0 to jaw in about 1 1/10th of a second. Anyway, Forrest did dominate but the first round could arguably be given to Shogun for the time he spent in Forrests guard. However he did no damage from there and Forrest did when he was in Shoguns guard so I would give all 3 rounds ro Forrest.

Ok so he didn't destroy him, but he controlled him the whole time and beat him convincingly. Had it not been a RNC finish he would have won a 30-27 decision.

Point is, theres no reason to rematch them at this point. When Shogun comes back and strings together a few wins - if he and Forrest are on a similar path in the future, then you should rematch them. The rematch should be unrelated to the outcome of the first fight.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

Given the size of top contenders in the LHW division its going to happen, unless Shogun truly blows ala Mirko or Forrest is found out for usuing steroids(j/k) or gets a huge string of loses. I see neither of these things happening so they are going to rematch. Will you or any self respecting MMA fan be unhappy if that happens or stoked to see Forrest make lightning strike twice? I said rmmatch and everyone jumped on it being right away but that is not what I meant. I think a jardine/griffin rematch would be good for #1 contendership or is that a bad idea too?
