Wtf is the big deal if he loses to Anderson Silva twice? I don't think it hurts Franklin as much as it boosts Silva.

Franklin will just have to settle with being the Big Nog of 185 (referring back to Pride).

Franklin vs. Hendo!!!!!!!

I know it's uncool around here to support "The American Poster Boys", but Franklin is a classy guy and is good for the sport. Chances are he won't beat Anderson but I really don't see anyone else beating him anytime soon. Right now Franklin is "The best of the rest".
Another awesome robb post.

Yeah, what's with the whole, "Franklin sux, he's a TUF posterboy lolz!"? I mean, Franklin is a legitimately good fighter, with wins over Tanner, Loiseau, MacDonald, & Okami. I mean, dude's legit.

This MW situation could result in a permanent cycle of title shots between 2 fighters.

Franklin loses, next year Franklin could be fighting Anderson again for the title, then the year after that, and so on.

If Franklin loses, which is most likely to happen, the other option for him would be to go back to LHW. I don't know if that would be such a good idea because the LHW division is way too deep. The way I see it Dana White is right on and Franklin's career is in huge danger.

He is the #2 MW in UFC so they should keep him until he goes down in rank a lot or beats Silva. No one in UFC is anywhere near them right now. Need to bring more MW's in.

Its gonna be a tough situation for Dana and Joe Silva trying to figure out what to do with Rich. I mean, he can beat literally everyone at 185 except Silva. So if you have him keep fighting other guys, no one new gets title shots, but you can't keep giving them to Rich...so what do you do?

Very crazy situation. The MW Division needs a big influx of talent...fast.

But really, Franklin shouldn't go anywhere if he loses. He'll have 3 career losses and wins over some real big names. Tanner, Okami, MacDonald, The Crow...Rich is a legit Top 10 MW. But he's between a rock and a hard place in this fight.

The quote is taken out of context somewhat.

Dana didn't warn Rich about anything. He simply stated the obvious. Rich will be in a difficult position if he loses the fight. He'll be #2 and 0-2 with the champ. So instead of having to win 2 fights to get another shot he'll probably need to win 5, or 6, or maybe it'll be 7 fights. By then Dan Henderson might have made 3 mw title defenses. I'm sure Rich prefers being the champ and having his next 5-7 fights all be title fights. There seem to be some cool perks that go with the belt. At the end of the day though he is a fighter. Win, lose or draw Rich Franklin will be fighting in the UFC after he fights Silva. He just might not be in the title picture for awhile. Which if your Rich Franklin kind of sucks.
