Point blank polygraph's cant prove that you DID anything because of the nature of the testing but they can with 99.99 accuracy prove your not lying. So lets say John states he didn’t steal a cake from the store, the test can only tell them johns body is not reacting in a way that everyone's body reacts when they are lying. But what it cant tell you is what amount of johns reaction is to being tested and the question itself. Sure they ask other questions to get a margin but when they ask the real question thats in doubt there is a bit more stress than asking john if his name is john if you get what I mean.
So in the end there is a range and if you results are anywhere near the middle the test is deemed inconclusive and near the bottom deceptive so in short I think Sean didn’t take steroids.

Are you guys kidding? Polygraphs are highly controversial tools and are not all that accurate in most applications.
How about the test was innaccurate or misinterpreted? Who conducted the test? What's thier background? Did they have any vested interest? Were they bribed to interpret the data in a favourable manner? The problem with a polygraph test is that you have no baseline comparison. They are useful, but hardly conclusive. Cmon guys, how about a little critical thinking on your part rather than just swallowing whatever you're fed.
"[Polygraph screening] is completely without any theoretical foundation and has absolutely no validity...the diagnostic value of this type of testing is no more than that of astrology or tea-leaf reading."

He's wrong, they are only in rare cases fooled, I have a friend that gives them for a living and you just cant beat them if your not psychotic. I noticed he's a former agent what, he fail a polygraph and got fired lol? There is a baseline, they gain it by asking you questions that they know are true and others thay know are false.

He's responsible for what goes into his body. Even if the test was accurate, it only shows that he didn't knowingly take illegal steroids. But he did take unregulated supplements and if he got illegal steroids as a result of doing so he is still responsible.
If lie detectors worked they'd use it on rapists, murderers, etc. There would be no case, jury, etc.
'Beyond a shadow of a doubt' is an incredibly tough standard to meet. The test Sherk failed doesn't meet that standard, either.
