Nobody is discrediting his PRIDE fights, but he is not a career Pride guy like the others that I mentioned. Of course he fought there and he did very well. He has fought all over and has always done well. He has definetly elevated his game since coming to the UFC.

Rampage is a "PRIDE guy" for those that like to group fighters by organizations. To me they are all just fighters, UFC, Pride, Cage Rage, Mecca, WVC, IFC, KOTC. They are all MMA fighters regardless of where they have fought, a good fighter is a good fighter, It has nothing to do with what time zone they fought in.

I agree, and I've always said that I like good MMA fighters. But when people keep trying to discredit Pride, it gets pretty old to me. It wasn't perfect, but a lot of great fighters fought there during it's existence. They've also made an impact in UFC like I said. I'm sure that in a year or so, this silly debate will be dead once everyone is used to the former Pride guys in the UFC.

Back to the original topic, Cro Cop is still under contract so he should return. I would assume so since he was scheduled for surgery. But then again, nobody wants a deviated septum regardless of being in the UFC or not.

You have to understand that the people that discredit Pride fall into 2 groups...

1.Trolls, that like to push peoples buttons and start fights.

2. people that have'nt watched much PRIDE, these are usually new fans that don't give PRIDE credit because they know nothing about it.

Whats the point in arguing about it with either group? One is just trying to make you mad and the other doesn't know what they are talking about.

Cro Crop was the man when UFC was barely hanging on. I watched UFC since the 1st one then pride when UFC almost went under. The best fighters in the world where fighting in Pride at that time. Mirko has beaten some of the best MMA has to offer. He just has looked bad in his last couple of fights for what ever reason. Gonzales beating him did not surprise me, but Kongo??? That was an upset.
I still think Mirko can knock anyone out at anytime. The HW division is still weak and hes better than most. If he can come back and put a couple of highlight reel knockouts togther he could be back in the top 10.
