If Nog fights Kongo in december then who will they put against Randy in february ?

According to an article on ufcjunkie, net the UFC have offered Nog a fight with Kongo on the december 29 event. If he accepts then i cant see how the winner will be ready to fight Randy not even two months later. Who do you think they will put against Randy ? ( not counting Fedor in... hes not signed and im so bored with the subject ) IMO they will probably put the winner of Vera/Sylvia against him....

ps. i apologise if the subject has been posted before as i have not been online for a while

You guessed it; Fedor Emelianenko.

I don't remember where I read it but it was a statement by Dana that went something like "Fedor wants to fight sambo, but I won't let him. We will get him signed after he competes in sambo this year." Sorry that I can't find source...

Something like that. Anyways, Sambo is in December. Give Fedor a good 2 months to train, he probably is training for Randy already who knows... I can't imagine Sambo would be that tough on his body so I think it may be ok. This is all speculation...

I'd much rather see Nog fight Randy first granted he gets past Kongo. I don't know why, I just feel Nog has a better chance against Randy at this point. I'm very nervous about Fedor jumping straight into Randy for his first fight.

Who would like to see Fedor/Nog 4?

To thread starter, how do you know Randy'll be fighting in feb?

I'd imagine they're postponing Nog hoping to get Fedor signed in the meantime. If they gave Nog a shot now and he won, it'd rob the UFC of a blockbuster fight because we've all seen Fedor/Nog.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

I think that Dana White plans on having Fedor Emelianenko by February, but if he doesn't than I could see Randy fighting Sylvia again, especially if Tim beats Vera.

Fedor.

If Fay-fay doesn't sign, then probably Nog if he isn't injured, or Vera, depending on the outcome of the Sylvia fight.

Wouldn't it technically be their 5th?
Man that would be awesome...
Fedor vs Couture(great fight)
Winner vs Nog(great fight either way)
Personally I think Fedor has a better chance at beating Nog, partly because, ya know, he already beat him 3 or 4 times lol

Dana said something about the Sambo comps at the conference of 76, he said he will probably sign right after he's finished with that.

I think just to play it safe, they should hold on until February for the Randy/Fedor fight. If they aren't going to give us Vanderlei and Chuck, then give us Fedor and Randy at least.

Actually, Fedor defeated Nog in fight number 1. Fight 2 was a No Contest. Fight 3 was taken by Fedor. So it would be fight 4.

Anywho, I need to see Couture vs Fedor. If Couture becomes the first man to beat Fedor, I will cry. It will be the single greatest moment in all of MMA.
