Lombard out; Karo vs ?
Lombard can't gain entry into the US. So now Karo will be fighting someone else.
Frankly I'm happy, I would like to see Karo fight one of the top guys he deserves.

Lombard would have been a great competitor for Karo at this time and it is a match i would have loved to see.
Karo won't face a top guy now because it is to late which is what i meant.
Lombard would have been good but if Karo was versing some one up the ranks already in the UFC it should have been originally that.
Karo Parisyan Vs Chris Lytle 2?
Karo Parisyan Vs Mike Swick?
I am not sure if these guys are available to fight at this date but i think they may be.

I would like to see Swick (if he has healed up), that would be an awesome WW debut fight for him. I don't see it being Kos, they don't usually use bigger names as "replacement" fighters. What about Marcus Davis? Luke Cummo? I think Karo is on another level than the both of them but they are names that fans know AND it is the year of the upset so no fighter should be counted out in any fight.

I would like to see him fight Cummo, though I don't know if Cummo would stand a chance....
Didn't Cummo fight less than a month ago though?

Wasen't Swick's ribs hurt or something, he will be a couple of months removed from that, and I don't think that it was anything major. Swick Vs Karo would be a good fight IMO

Cummo just faught because he just had a baby. He wants the time off. KOS said he was hoping for someone to backout of this card because he wants to fight...
Quote:
Cuban Judo specialist Hector Lombard is unable to obtain a visa for his 170-pound showdown with Karo Parisyan at UFC 78: “Validation” on November 17, according to Sherdog.com. Here’s a snip:“I’m not going to get my visa. I only have a Cuban passport, so I’ve been told it’s impossible for me to migrate. I went to the American embassy twice and they said no to me both times.”
Lombard now lives in Australia. He was expected to make his Octagon debut at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. against another top Judo fighter in “The Heat.”
There’s no word on who might replace Lombard. Fortunately, there is more than one month to find a replacement, which gives the opponent just enough time to put in a decent training camp.
In our conversation with Josh Koscheck over the weekend he actually said that he hopes that someone gets scratched from an event so that he can get back to action earlier than January or February (2008). His training partner at American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), Jon Fitch, would also be a fantastic fill-in.
Again, there’s no word on a possible opponent and the mentions of Koscheck or Fitch filling in are just wishful thinking at the moment.
Stay tuned for more details. For the latest UFC 78 fight card click here.

I wish people would have these things taken care of before signing the contract
