UFC London [18th March]

UFC London (Fight Night 108)
18th March 2017
O2 Arena, London.

Fights are being announced thick and fast today so I thought we could use a thread to collate all the info and discuss accordingly

So far we've heard:

135: Brad Pickett (25-13) vs. Henry Briones (16-6)
This is the UFC's third attempt at making this fight so let's hope it finally goes ahead! More importantly however after giving Uriah Faber a nice sendoff in his hometown recently this will in fact be Brad Pickett's final MMA fight as retirement beckons. Good luck Brad!

205: Darren Stewart (7-0) vs. Francimar Barroso (18-5)
A rematch from their recent UFC Brazil clash which ended in a No Contest.

185: Scott Askham (14-3) vs. Bradley Scott (10-4)
An all-British clash see's the return of Bradley Scott, a TUF Smashes veteran, for only his 6th UFC fight in over 5 years. Both fighters are 2-3 in the UFC and you would suspect the loser gets his walking papers.

170: Tom Breese (10-1) vs. Oluwale Bamgbose (6-2)
Breese was the UKs most lauded prospect of 2015 before taking his first loss in 2016 against Sean Strickland, he looks to get back to winning ways against Oluwale Bamgbose a former regional champion at 185 for Eastcoast promotion Ring of Combat.

170: Leon Edwards (12-3) vs. Vicente Luque (11-5)
Birmingham's "Rocky" Edwards is now 4-2 in the UFC but he will be taking on Vicente Luque who has KO'd both of his last two opponents inside the first round.

155: Marc Diakiese (11-0) vs. Teemu Packalen (8-1)
A top European clash and another great test of Diakiese's metal, Teemu Packalen secured a 24-second sub in his last fight showing he is a dangerous opponent.

Fights/Fighters linked to the event but not yet confirmed:

205: Jimi Manuwa (16-2) vs. Corey Anderson (9-2)
155: Joe Duffy (15-2) vs. Reza Madadi (14-4)
145: Makwan Amirkhani (13-2) vs. Arnold Allen (11-1)

205: Paul Craig (9-0, 1-0 in UFC)
170: Darren Till (13-0, 1-0 in UFC)
145: Artem Lobov (13-12, 2-2 in UFC)

All cracking so far. Bangbus Vs Breese and Luque Vs Edwards are both specifically awesome.

The Manuwa fight has been confirmed as co-main, looks like they're working on a Gustafsson fight for the main, would be nice to see him return.

This is Makwan Amirkhani's 1st fight training with team mcgregor.

Might be cool to see what effect training with crazy irish ppl and crazy russians has had on him.

Hard work is the only real PED.

That OSP win earned him alot of creds stateside courtesy of OSP going 5 rounds with Jon Jones.

I like Manuwa, he has good hands and his wrestling has become decent.. he is still getting better, can't see him cracking top-5 permanently but he can go far with the right matches.

I think he gives the likes of Bader and Texeira a really close fight.
