UFC 79: NEMESIS (ta daaaaaaaah)

The card has of cource been discussed on several other threads (the only official match for now is Serra vs Hughes) so i shan't be discussing it with you since it's not exactly news. (EDIT: source: http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&gid=8275)

But "Nemesis" what the goddam hell? Just when you thought they had used all possible sub titles to their events they come up with this. I thought even the UFC management wouldn't sink below the "Nemesis" level. Nemesis is so overused it's.... i dunno. But it's overused anyway.

Should we laugh or cry?

I think that with this card, the name is meaningless considering that this event will need no help selling ppv.

who cares what the event is called, id still buy the ppv even if it was called "super hug rainbow gummy bears". Fact remains serra and hughes are fighting.

im really excited awaiting what the rest of the card will contain

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

i dont think its rediculous enough. some of the less popular promos like Ring of Fire or Cage Rage have had pretty rediculous subs. I think the UFC should embrace it and run with it!

consider the following:
UFC 78:
MAN UP

BEAT YO A**

GET S*** ON

GIMME THAT! (title fight events only, haha)

feel free to contribute...
haha.

Who cares about the name guys...they gotta call it something.

Honestly I couldnt even tell you half the names of the events this year, just cuz im not in it for all the marketing, im in it to watch 2 guys step in a cage and test there skills against eachother.
