I've been saying since Serra won TUF4 that Matt Hughes is a better match up that GSP was. I predict Serra will win, I just can't decide where or how.

Seraa has the better Stand up....since Hughes has never really improved his EVER......but on the Ground i give the edge to Hughes for the simple reasons that he is strong.hisBJJ is better In MMA...i see Serra winning if it stays on the Feet...on the Ground Hughes will destory Serra(sorry allyou Serra lovers haha)
i say Hughes wins this one by TKO 2nd round within 3mins of that round haha

sorry Okami i honestly would say Serra's BJJ is better than Hughes, i would give the strength and wrestling to him but not BJJ, Hughes has a major advantage as most fighters who have fought Serra with a reach, height and size advantage which will cause problems standing up and playing the ground game... but this was said when he was going up against GSP... it's hard to say because these two are pretty close match ups in my eyes as Serra is rather underrated.

Serra's a lucky punch guy.
Hughes will beat him.
It wasn't to long ago Hughes was being called "the greatest of alllllllll TIME!"
now you think Serra is better than Hughes at anything?
Sorry I like Serra, but even I know he got lucky and he is riding the fame wagon, but its gonna end at the end of this show, he best get all the excitement he can outta being 4-1, and beating Hughes team on this show cause his show is gonna be over when they fight.

Far as I can tell Serra will prolly want to keep this standing, while Hughes will stay true to himself and look for takedown after takedown. Serra has better, heavier hands than Hughes. The real question that will be the determining factor in this fight is not, "will it go to the ground," but rather, "will Serra be able to get back up after it does?" If Serra can scramble and not allow Hughes to keep control on top, he could make this a dangerous fight for Hughes. If he can't this fight will look similar to Hughes-Lytle, with one fighter trying his damnedest to get out and the other trying his damnedest to keep him there. Although Serra's jiu jitsu hasn't brought him alot of finishes I'm sure if he can scramble and create oppurtunities we may see an upset. But as it is I still think Hughes is going to hump out a decision.

i see hughes taking this one

serra really only has his rock hard hands to help him out on this one....his bjj is good.....but matt hughes just knows how to make it happen in the ocatgon baby

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.
