I hope we see Couture vs FEDORRRRRR in M-1 sometime in 2008. I don't think waiting 9months would make this fight less epic, unless both of them lose before lol. Even still, would be a great fight.

Dana's response to Jardine only getting 14k is "nobody is complaining"? Could it be that these guys are too scared to stick up for their own pay? We all know Jardine must've felt scammed.

Is this not a response to what Randy said? It may have not come across in the most diplomatic way (Which Dana has a hard time with) but it was stating a fact. Is not Dana allowed to respond, then get skewered, and Randy' comments are like Teflon and the ridicule just slides off?

This would be cool. Seeing Randy fight himself. I've got money on Couture.

I think it all goes back to when this originally was announced and we all read what Randy said. The first thing everyone said was, "This doesn't sound like Randy."

If you ask me it doesn't because he has stars in his eyes and somebody in Hollywood whispering in his ear. I'm sorry Randy whoever your listening to cannot make you a star. You can't even be a effective commentator at the UFC without putting people to sleep. And, you are delusional if you think your fame in the UFC will translate to success in Hollywood.

Slowly this is becoming a black-eye for Randy.

i agree that a guy like jardine is simply getting underpayed.

but to say that he felt cheated is probably over emotionalizing the situation, i mean to say he felt cheated would imply that he didnt know how much he was going to get prior to the fight or something. All these guys sign contracts, jardine signed something and he fights for his own purse.

i think that they should eliminate individual win bonuses and rather make win bonuses for each fight or take the higher of the two win bonuses and apply it for each fighter.

Even if he felt cheated before he signed the contract he doesn't wanna turn down a fight with Chuck. He feels screwed trust me. Simply if your fighting the ex-champ you should get paid well regardless. Guys like Roger Huerta should be making 14k and not 30k(somewhere in that range) 14k is laughable and I'm sure when Dana made that offer to Keith he felt the grim side of himself inside make the decision.

It might actually be under 9 months in all reality. A good lawyer can easily make a statement that the money that couture was entitled to receive was not received, voiding the entire contract. But who knows, i have a feeling this will all be settled by lawyers in the next few months.
