Man, Fans Hate Tim Sylvia!

The man got the biggest boos at the weigh in!

As a matter fact, I was surprised with the reception for Anderson Silva. I thought they'd boo him out of the place but it's quite obvious that the man is hard to hate outside the ring, or disrespect inside the ring. I wonder what the cheers would have been like for Anderson in a different town. He got a mixed reaction, which is likely way more than he expected - considering he's fighting the hometown hero.

If I were Franklin, I wouldn't look forward to tomorrow, though. Anderson walked right up to his nose for the standoff.

Kudos to Franklin for encouraging the fans to give a standing O to Anderson, and his hug seemed pretty tight and sincere, considering what happened in their last fight. Class acts - too bad only one of them can be the champ at a time.

He dwarfed Vera. Personally, I din't think he was in the greatest shape of his life, he was really sucking the ole beer-keg in.

Did anyone else notice how much Sylvia was sucking his belly in?

I have a funny feeling about the Vera/Sylvia fight.

And Stephanie Bonner mocked his steroid use incident by putting his back to the audience and pretending to piss in a paper cup.

Bonner looked pretty crisp though. Closer to Franklin's look in the promotional pics than Franklin actually looked.

Shows you what a little shadow and light and paint on the stomach and biceps will do for you.

I think he sounds like a giant Chris Leben when he brags about his talents or offers excuses about his loss to Couture. I thought that was a one off thing but I watched him in a recent interview still claiming that he lost to Couture because of an injury but that he was a better fighter than Couture.

He also seemed to hold Vera somewhat lightly in his interviews about his opponent.

I know, but he was reaaaally sucking it in, today. I bet it was the blonde behind the scales that made him work at it extra hard.
