Always enjoyed watching his fights. He had some strong potential. I'm sure he'll bounce back!

One month after former UFC fighter Terry Etim was hospitalized for serious injuries, the Liverpool-native is now recovering at his home. The Liverpool Echo reported earlier this week that the 31-year-old “has now been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home,” and that “Police confirmed they would be taking no further action over the incident.”

In late February, eyewitnesses said that Etim was running in and out of traffic and had repeatedly thrown himself into buses. Pictures from the scene showed the broken windscreen glass and blood on the vehicles. Another witness stated that Etim “wasn’t trying to harm anybody but himself. He was covered from head to toe in blood.” Police were able to eventually restrain him and transport him to a nearby hospital.

Etim (16-5) has not fought since winning a unanimous decision over Patrick Cenoble at Bellator 109 in November 2013. The UFC released him following a decision loss to Renee Forte in February 2013, marking the end of his eleven-fight run with the promotion. He’d accumulated four Submission of the Night bonuses during his Octagon stint, as well as Fight of the Night honors for his wheel kick KO loss to Edson Barboza at UFC 142 in January 2012.
