Jake O’Brien wants Brock Lesnar

According to Ken Pavia, O’Brien’s agent, on the UG:

Jake O’Brien called begging for the fight. I had to remind him he just had titanium rods put in his neck and he is out for 6 more months atleast. He forgot.

KingXtreme81 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
If anybody thinks they are going to use Brock Lesnar's name as a stepping stone to fame, they better think twice. This man has more physical tools then maybe anybody in the UFC, and with the proper trainers and training he will be an absolute menace in the division,

Anybody who thinks that just because he went into pro wrestling makes him a wuss, they will look very foolish after this guy gets going.

Lesnar's first opponent is in for a rude awakening.

This isn't like when Crocop came to the UFC. He was an established fighter with a track record of fights that his opponents were able to study.

Brock only has one fight that he dominated. His opponent will have no way to prepare for him.

Brock Lesnar is a monster with tremendous potential and world class wrestling skills. To top it off, he's massive, unbelievably quick and agile, with freakish strength. Plus, he's a dedicated athlete who has achived every goal he set for himself in athletics.

Granted his NFL career was nothing compared to his WWE championship run, but he made the NFL roster when no one even gave him much of a shot.

The fact that he gave up a high profile lucrative career in the WWE to pursue a much lower paying NFL career with no guarantees, shows that he has character, and that money is not his ultimate deciding factor.

I feel sorry for victim #2.

Why would a wrestling g'n'p l'n'p artist want to fight a better wrestler for? Did he forget that you don't win points on the bottom aswell as the fact he's just had surgery?

the word that comes to mind is pummeled.

jake would be pummeled by brock.

for a fighter who suffers from laying on top and getting decisions a bigger stronger wrestler is not someone i think hed want to fight.

You make good points. Brock's first opponent is at a disadvantage. Guys like Shogun, Mirko and Herring had plenty of tape for guys like Forrest, Kongo and O'Brien to study. How do you find a weakness in Brock's game when you've hardly seen his game?

Totally agree especially when you add he is probably alot better wrestler. This is a horrible fight for Jake but it is a great fight for Brock, if the UFC wants to challenge Brock they would be stupid to give him a wrestler as there are only a couple of wrestlers that I could see being able to control Brock, give him a striker or a BJJ but as far as wreslters go Brock can probably straight wrestle as well as any of them and better than alot combined with the fact that few are gonna be able to control Brock considering his strength. I'd give Brock a decent shot at winning against any wrestler in the heavyweight division outside of Couture. But think the other aspects of MMA are gonna be what gives him difficulty.

On a side note about Lesnar, Im confused as to why he is training heavily in BJJ as I always thought BJJ was about a smaller guy using a bigger guys momentum and size against him and it seems odd for a guy that would be condisidered the big powerhouse to train heavily in it.
