TJ Dillashaw ended Teammates Career?

Chris Holdsworth (left), Cody Garbrandt (centre) and TJ Dillashaw (right).

Remember TUF18 winner Chris Holdsworth? The Team Alpha Male bantamweight who secured the TUF crown with a rear naked choke submission over Davey Grant back in November of 2013? Since that time we've seen Chris compete just once in the Octagon, another submission win in May of 2014, almost 3 years ago.

Since that time enquiries about the fighter have been swatted away citing concussion issues, exalted MMA media such as MMA Fightings Marc Raimondi even covered the situation -- TWO YEARS AGO.

Since that time not alot has been said and it has seemed reasonable to assume that Holdsworth was perhaps innocently concussed in training with no foul play to be heard of. However, recent Tweets from our current UFC Bantamweight Champ suggest there is slightly more to the story:

I was wondering why that guy stopped fighting. He was a good grappler.

How can a concussion be career-ending, though?

It's not. Garbrandt just trying to make waves.

Well, he has post-concussion syndrome, and that has always been said to be the reason he hasn't come back.

And this is Dillashaw's fault? Training is a dangerous game. Your career could end at anytime.

If it was a cheap shot that did it.... then yes, it's TJ's fault...

Do you have any evidence apart from Garbrandt? Was it a "cheep shot" or just an accident? What does the fighter himself say? What does Dillashaw say?

This is all rumor mongering. Let's leave that to the politicians and media.

The 'cheap shot' in question was a knee during a sparring round after the bell and in frustration, according to Garbrandt.

Obviously we won't know for sure as we weren't present but it sounds bad and TJ has not yet took the time to refute it.
