I'd really like to see Davis vs Alves 2 in the UFC. Both guys are puttin' in work in the division.

I've always like Alves. He did really good for his first fight in the UFC against Spencer, until he lost haha. The Noble fight was a good slugfest and he came back to win after getting stunned (wonder why they never brought Noble back after that?)...I agree he is exciting, he seems young I dunno how old he is but I also agree that he will be a force in a few years.

Alves is in my top favorites list. I didn't know what to think when the rumor was going around that he was going to fight Diego cause I'd hate to pick either one to lose. I think Alves will be in the top 5 WW in UFC pretty soon.

Swick's not that great of a striker, and throws wild as hell punches, too.

If ALves loses to Lytle, then it'll be a nice learning experience. I don't know, I think Alves will pull off the decision, but Lytle has a good shot at beating him. Dude is tough as hell, is a good striker, is impossible to finish, and has a good ground game. Lytle doesn't get the credit he deserves, but that's another thread.
Swick is far from a great striker but he is a quick striker which is something that guys who throw heavy but sloppy punches like Alves seem to have trouble with.

I think Alves has a lot of potential and 2 years down the road I think he could be a top of the line or at least top 10 WW. But he could also become a victim of the loaded WW divison. I mean you got all the guys in the UFC then there is Shields, and Condit who I think both have brighter futures than Alves.

But he is one of the most dangerous guys at 170 with his power and his nasty leg kicks.
