UFC Fighter of the Year

If the UFC handed out an MVP award like major sports who do you think should win it?

Rampage. He had three tough fights (I know a lot you might not think that Eastman is good but he is good outside of the UFC) then he took the belt from Chucky and beat Henderson who is a very tough opponent (even though he should be at MW)

Some candidates:

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson: 3 wins in the Octagon. A TKO win over Marvin Eastman. Hand Chuck Liddell his first loss in quite awhile and takes the title. Makes his first title defense against one of the best P4P fighters of all time, IMO, and wins.

Anderson "The Spider" Silva: 3 straight title defenses in his 1st three tries. First, he submits a black belt in BJJ, then he destroys a solid striker with good wrestling. Then he beats the best MW the UFC has seen, AGAIN. Not only that, he destroys him in his hometown.

Randy "The Natural" Couture: 44 years old. KO'd in his previous 2 fights. Comes back to win the HW title and then takes it to a younger, stronger Gabriel Gonzaga. His resume would be better with one more fight.

I went with Anderson Silva, randy couture is more Come Back of the Year because of the back to back losses before his two title shot/defense.

I was leaning towards Anderson, but I couldn't discount Tyson Griffin and his FOTN awards, fight after fight. I guess Tyson is overlooked more often than not, because he isn't a Champ, yet.

I chose Rampage due to the fact he beat Eastman, then he beat Liddell for the title and defended against Hendo. It was close between he and Silva but I think it was harder to accomplish what Rampage did this past year than Silva. Silva still had a great year and looks as if he has more good years to come.
