The Referees tonight....

I gotta give it up to these refs tonight, they were SUCH an IMPROVEMENT, they tried their best to make the fights as entertaining as possible, being held against the cage, or being held on the ground wasnt gonna be a factor to win tonight thats for sure. Loved the Refs

Like you guys said before props go to the refs for doing such a good job. They made the fights more entertaining for the fans, but I you could also say it takes away from some fighters ground games. But either way they were good tonight.

Thats because I could've reffed that event. There was nothing to do for them, just watch 2 dudes hump each other on the ground.

I couldn't agree more, PROPS to New Jersey.
I loved it. They were standing guys up, separating guys. At one point somebody barely touched the fence and the ref warned him right away. They were on top of things.
The UFC needs to bring that big guy with them everywhere.

I thought some of them played to the crowd a little too much, and jumped the gun. I like the "Big John" officiating much more.

I think that they were local refs and the state of New Jersey issued them thats my assumption because I was disappointed not to see big Jon and Herb dean

I agree. That first stand up for the Karo fight I was like "wtf". Karo was blatantly working and throwing shots.

I actually thought the big guy was better at officiating then most of Big Johns officiating lately, especially the Houston/Silva fight, he didnt stop it till he knew Houston was out, countless other reasons, they didnt take anybody's ground game away, they took the cheap shots of keeping a person pinned against the fence or on the ground, tonight you were going to FIGHT not LAY'n PRAY
