Oops, you are right. I totally forgot Bocek is a black belt in BJJ because the fight was over so quickly. However, that was also the guy's debut so he may not have performed to the best of his abilities.

If I recall correctly, Bocek had rocked Edgar in the fight? Or did he take his back at one time? I just remember that Edgar was in trouble momentarily.

Fisher and Stout didn't do that much damage to each other and honestly the that fight was exicting because they both a very good standing. I mean yea Fisher got cut up but neither really looked like they were close to going down in that fight.

In WEC fights guys aren't as skilled. I mean What was Edgar going to do start boxing with Fisher that would be dumb. On the ground Edgar was doing what he could. He tried to get in to side control but Fisher wouldn't allow him.

When on the ground Fisher didn't really try many submissions or sweeps which is what leads to the exictment you are talking about. He focused on getting up. And since there was no way he was going to get up with Edgar on top he didn't really adjust his gameplan. This fight being "boring" really doesn't have much to do with Edgar. I mean try being exicting when a guy won't let you out of his guard and doesn't try to sweep or submit you.

I believe you know I'm one of the people who have agreed with you about Frank. I mean the guy is an absolute monster and I think he will be getting a shot soon. I'm not sure if he will win but he has a shot against BJ or Sherk. I mean the guy can't be lower 4 lw list. With BJ, Sherk, and Joe ahead of him. I think he is one or two (depending on the Sherk situation) fights away from a title shot.

Wow, Edgar looked like a BEAST!!. He manhandled Spencer. Made him look like an amature. I would love to see him against Kenny. My gut says Kenny would have no answer for Edgar's wrestling. But Kenny is always proving me wrong. He is constantly evolving and gettting better. this fight would rule. Edgar is the real deal. He does look a tad small for 155 though. 145 he would be a monster. Could you imagine Faber/Edgar!!!

Gotta agree Frankie looked impressive against a fan favorite Fisher. However i didnt see him causing any damage to his opponent. Some of you guys state that he has a shot at the next LW champ, but to be a champ is much more than to be able perform successful takedowns and passing the guard.

I'm a huge Spencer Fisher fan and I agree that Edgar looked fantastic. It pisses me off...., but I can't deny it.

And yes, it was slightly boring, but he did what he had to do and dominated a top LW fighter. IMO, he fought a Randy style of fight. Come in whith the best tactic to defeat your opponent, don't try and get a highlight reel KO against a striker.

Good job Edgar, and Fisher will be back no problem and show why he is the King.

I like the sound of that! That fight would be really fun. I like Ken-Flo a lot, and although I normally don't like wrestlers, I really like Edgar too. He totally outclassed Fisher and had a great fight vs Griffin(granted I've never seen a "bad" Tyson fight)

Why that's all Sherk does?

Seriously though he showed some good boxing skills against Griffen and he finished Bocek. Fisher has a real good guard I think ppl forget that.
