Bigger Bonuses - Where's the Haters?

Suprised there aren't any topics about this yet (if there are, I apologize for missing them.)

The KO, Submission and Fight of the Night bonuses are up to 55k now. Quite a big rise from 10k what, a year or more ago? This year alone they went up to 30, then 40, now 55k. This is proof that Zuffa is stepping it up. I can imagine fighters are being better taken care of.

Wherefore art thou Zuffa haters who insist that these guys fight for table scraps?

Don't you get it Beeno, Zuffa is so horrible to thier fighters and are all lies, but I'll still watch and buy the fights. (Sarcasm)

Seriously though, I'm still mad about the Silva fight. I can't wait till Houston gets back to fight, but it won't be for a bit now and that is pissing me off.

That's only for one fight. I'll bet that a lot of the smaller fights made less than $10k.

Don't forget that "fight of the night" isn't Dana saying "I want to treat my fighters better." It's him saying "If you guys will REALLY scrap it up and keep making me tens of millions, I'll cut a little sliver off for you, just to keep you working."

The top guys obviously get well-taken care of. The details on Randy's paychecks prove that, hands-down. The question is the smaller-time dudes. But, they're not bringing in the bucks like the top guys, so there's debate there, as well.

They did seem to underpay their fighters (seem) but that doesn't mean it can't change. So why would there be haters for a step in the right direction?

is there a source for this

not to mention lets face it....there wansnt any huge names on this card....they could afford to shell out some cash

but seriously where are all the bitchers and moaners?

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

They shouldn't, the contracts should be bigger. Take the bottom of the barrell fighters. They deserve more then 3,000 a fight but theres no way they could negotiate more on their contract so they just have to take it.

How is that any different from any other employee in any other industry?

but is that the ufcs fault that there biggest business in town and can afford to get a discount on fighters....lets face it your not trying to fight for prize money....thats just a plus...the idea is to make a name for yourself and allow your fighter stock to rise....until your worth enough to be making the real dough

And whats your point? If other businesses are underpaying their employees thats not right either, but that seems irrelevant.
