I like Sokoudjou.
Machida is great no doubt.
Sokoudjou is more active standing, showed AMAZING takedown defense against Arona, and has fists of steel.
Machida could catch him with a counter, but I still like Sokoudjou in this one.
Still, a very VERY close matchup

I actually THINK Sokoudjou, because of his freakish explosiveness and unorthodox but pretty accurate striking and his monstrous leg kicks. Maybe he should take Lyoto down...
But I'm HOPING for both fighters, like em both so I can't really decide...

Sokky is scary awesome, but Lyoto is smooth awesome.
Let's say Machida, 29-28.
On a side note, UFC 79 is going to kick ridiculous amounts of ass.

Sokky has: Obvious KO power, since he KO'd someone we believed not KO-able lol
Great Judo, his credentials show this.
His good Judo will probably mean he has a decent-good ground game.
Machida has:neutralizing skills.
I don't see Machida winning this at all. Sokky is a different level of opponent than he has faced in the UFC, however this IS Sokky's first time in the cage.
Machida might get a UD or Split, but I'm goin w/ Sokky via (T)KO.

sokky's chin isnt that great i dont know if thats the case for lyoto. but infairness to lyoto he has shown accuracy and counterpunching. However lyoto is not really known for his power so its pretty interesting. i have to go with lyoto thou.

Sokky is coming off 2 awesome wins against 2 really good fighters. One of them being a Nogueira, and that Nogueira was dead after about 27 seconds. Dude finished a motherfreakin' Nogueira. He packs power, skill, and awesome dreadlocks.
Sokky's still a mystery, though, while LYOTO! has been proven to be as legit as they come. Gotta go with my man Machida.

It's not complicated. Karo is ridiculously entertaining and is very good, and Machida is just insanely good.
