I thought when he took his test after the fight he was above the allowed limit for whatever they tested for. Was that test just proven wrong or skewed or something? I don't see how it failed. If he was taking steroids it would show up positive and it did.

Kamikaze is now 5-0. Watch his most recent fight here.

Because you can't prove a negative
The fallacy of appealing to lack of proof of the negative is a logical fallacy of the following form:
  • "X is true because there is no proof that X is false."

Agreed man. If I'd never made a mistake in my life, I'd boo him, but of course we all make mistakes. He's human and deserves a second chance.

I'd rather fans be silent than boo. I think booing is classless in most cases.

I'd still cheer for him... depending on who he's fighting. If he's fighting Penn I'd just be silent (I don't think fighters should be boo'd ever... what they do takes a lot of balls and for that reason alone they all have my respect).

The athletic commission's hearing was a pretty disorganized and handled really poorly. There was no questioning a witnesses credibility... no cross examinations at all... no defense witnesses... etc. I'm not suggesting a whole trial be called, but something at least resembling a democratic process would have been nice. (I have a link if someone thinks I'm just making vague statements) On top of that, they did find steroids in his xyience supps (although not the kind he tested positive for) which has even more implications. The entire process was so ridiculous I don't think we'll ever be able to say for certain whether or not he did it intentionally, but in most cases all that is needed is the accusation for Sherk to have the stigma of a steroid user/cheater for the rest of his career.

After reading all that crap I realized I got really off topic. to the OP: generally I'd cheer.

Thanks to NikosCC for the sick sig!

This is pretty much where I stand. I'm not so sure I'd go nuts when he came out, but he'd be able to win me over by the end of a great fight.

I think I'd probably applaud lightly. I respect anyone who is willing to get in there and compete for my entertainment. On the other hand, I don't respect people who try to cheat, and I put Sherk in that category as well. I think the first category slightly outweighs the second, so I'd be applauding, but in no way going nuts.

I'd probably be silent. I don't think he's been properly punished and I wouldn't want to show my support for a tainted champ. I don't think I would ever boo a fighter.

I'd have to Boo Dana if anybody. I don't like Sherk, but I really don't like how Dana showed sheer favoritism by not stripping his belt.

I've always been on the fence with Sherk, even before the steroid ruling. I could never really force myself to watch someone who can be so dominating with takedowns but do nothing with the position on the ground, rather just hold the guy there and maybe throw an elbow every half a century.

The thing that has really pissed me off about Sherk is not that he cheated, but he denied it over and over again, then when the ruling was passed down, he grumbled and said "I'll never fight in California again." That's just classless in every sense of the word.

I can forgive Stephan Bonnar, because he's a cool guy and tries to be exciting in his fights. I can forgive Hermes Franca as well for the same reasons. Even Mark Coleman if one day he is found to have roided (as many suspect) I can forgive him because honestly, he makes me laugh, this applies to Phil Baroni also.

I'm not big on booing but I wouldn't cheer for him at the event. If he lost I would show support big time for the other guy though.
