My dream come true. Titos next crushing defeat.
Breaking news on MMAWeekly.com... During a meet-and-greet autograph session prior to the UFC 63 weigh-ins on Friday afternoon in Anaheim, California, Tito Ortiz made an appearance in front of everyone in attendance and had an announcement to make.
Ortiz said that he had just been approached by someone from the UFC and had been told, "We know you have a fight coming up in a couple of weeks [against Ken Shamrock on October 10th], but I wanted to give you this now." Ortiz said that he was given a contract to fight Chuck Liddell on December 30th at UFC 66. At that point, Ortiz flashed the contract to the crowd, with his signature already on it. The rematch between Liddell and Ortiz is now officially signed for December 30th, apparently regardless of the outcome of Ortiz' upcoming fight against Ken Shamrock on Spike TV on October 10th. Though the December 30th date for Liddell-Ortiz II has been posted in MMAWeekly's Rumors section for several weeks, it is now official. Barring any major unforeseen injuries to Liddell or Ortiz between now and the end of December, the two fighters will compete for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title on December 30th. This news also puts to rest any remaining rumors that Chuck Liddell might be fighting Wanderlei Silva, Mirko Cro Cop, or anyone else from Pride at UFC 65 in November. Though it was announced during the UFC 61 pay-per-view on July 8th that Liddell would be fighting Silva in the UFC in November, there were no contracts signed between the UFC and Pride at that time. Negotiations between the two sides broke down shortly thereafter, and any potential Liddell-Silva match was off even before Liddell fought Renato "Babalu" Sobral on August 26th |
I can't wait until Chuck smashes a whole in Tito Ortiz' head once again and the big feud like last time at UFC 47. That was awesome, one of the biggest feuds ever. I can't wait until Ortiz' retires because hes so wounded,

Yeah, Chuck will kill him for sure. Although I would be really happy if Tito proved me wrong!

It should be a lot closer fight this time, Tito has definitely improved since then and I'm sure he'll be much more careful of Liddell's striking this time around.

i think tito will go for take downs right off the bat but get him down mabye once and chuck will knock him down has land few blows at it will be called in the 2nd round

i said MABYE once. and even if he did chuck would get right back up like he always does

meh just another rematch that will be overhyped and then either be too quick or just a dissapointment, seems to the the trend in main events as of late
|
Should get alot of ppv buys. Liddel will win in the second round(ps. I'm not a tito hater he is actually my fav fighter but I know liddel will beat him)
I wonder who Liddel will fight after this rematch. Maybe Crocop at UFC 69 in April. UFC 69: Liddel vs Cro Cop |
I have watched that last fight between liddell and ortiz and I still have a lot of questions. Let me make it very clear that I DO NOT LIKE ORTIZ. But the more I watch that fight I think that maybe tito did catch a thumb to his eye. Therefore I hate to say it but Chuck may not have dominated him like I once thought he did. I would like nothing more than to be able to say that Chuck beat tito's ass convincingly but that thumb leaves a lot of questions. I think if anyone has a chance to beat chuck any time soon it will be tito. ofcourse it would be really cool if tito comes in to the fight with chuck still hurt from a beating at shamrocks hands but i honestly dont feel that will be the case either. I want chuck to destroy tito and put an end to the questions and the doubt.
