The reason everyone's saying Wandy's style plays right into Chucks is something I think is a fallacy. We all know Chuck fights best when he's back-pedaling and on his toes. Wandy likes to push forward and press the action. BUT, most of the time Wandy doesn't swing for the fences unless he's in close. Wandy has also shown he doesn't mind getting hit if it means he gets to land a punch of his own. We hadn't seen anyone really hit Chuck until Rampage. Since then, we've seen him get KO'd again by Rampage and Jardine got a flash knockdown on him. In Wandy's fight with Hendo, he seemed to open himself up by not being in condition for that 3rd round (something I think he's fixed) and in his fight with CroCop... well.. who wouldn't have been KO'd by taking that shin to the head. I think Wandy's hands have more on them and I think he's shown to have a helluva chin (unlike Chuck).

Thanks to NikosCC for the sick sig!

all good points, one i would like to add is that nobody seems to realize that wandy packs knockout power in Both hands and is fully capable of ending the fight with one punch, and for some reason chuck seems to prefer blocking punches with his face!
i say chuck is tailor made for silva not the other way round

I have to disagree. I see Wanderlei taking this. Wanderlei has been waiting for this for a while and he is training hard. And if he's training with Randy you can bet he's going to have a great gameplan too. I also have to give an experience advatage to wanderlei as well. He's fought tougher competition than chuck has.

Cro Cop
Mark Hunt
Quinton Jackson
Arona
Henderson
Yoshida

Excellent point that's what I've been trying to explain to my buddies. They keep saying how chuck is gonna sit back and land a shot and if it connects wandy goes down and blah blah but chuck needs to not get hit by wandy or he will go down

Wandy's been dropped a ton of times by different fighters. He just has good recovery time.

Doesnt Wandy have a fairly impressive ground game too? I have never even seen chuck try to do anything on the ground... also I think Chuck fights entirely too conservative for this and with Wamdy being so agressive he's going to overwhelm chuck really fast. Also, wandy has some deadly kicks he can throw, and we've all seen what happens to Chuck when he fights someone who can kick.

Wandy does have a bjj blackbelt but it's damn near impossible to keep chuck on the ground even though I can see wandy looking to clinch and throw big knees

Wandy's ground game consists of him stalling to get yellow cards. He's not that good on the ground, and his BJJ blackbelt is about as legit as Vitor Belfort's.
