Marquardt deserves a shot more because even if those fights went to a decision....they were against good competition. Swick basically escaped Loiseau and caught Joe Riggs with a head kick (who really isnt that good to begin with except his heavy hands).

If Swick went up against either Silva or Franklin at this point..it's never "impossible" to win, but he's stand a less than 10% chance against either one.

Agreed. He won the first two rounds but gassed in the third which enabled the Crow to take the round. He won the fight but is not ready for a title shot just yet. Instead i want to see him fight The Mangler next and go from there before getting a title shot.

To answer your question jamminpuppet, Chuck Liddell is still the Lightheavyweight Champion and retained his title title in a recent victory over Renato Sobral. Chuck will be fighting Tito Ortiz in a rematch in Decemember.

Anyway, I think the next best fight for Swick has got to be Leben. Leben was quite possibly the number one or two contender before facing Anderson Silva, and now that he's rebounded with a win over Jorge Santiago, he's still in contention for the title. With Swick's victory over Loiseau, he's got to be one or two fights away from a title shot. The most logical fight would be Leben vs. Swick II.

I would really be intersested in a Leben/Swick 2. I would take that over Swick/Marquardt. They should give Nate his title shot and have Swick/leben as Mikes last fight before a title shot.

HaHa. I think Tanner has definatly lost his way out of title contention by now. Dude was really good in his prime, but he's lost to som many people lately that I think he's gonna have to earn his way back up to a title shot.

P.S. There's no way tanner could ever win that title back if he got the opprotunity

Let's Bang!

Give him one more fight before a fight against the champ. Swick's one of my favs but I don't think he is 100% ready for Silva or Franklin.

If you give him one more fight before he gets his chance.Who does he fight?I would like to see Leben/Swick2.But that could kill Swicks chances at the belt.Leben a;ways has that one punch knockout.Look at there first fight

But if you let him fight Frankin and he gets killed he will fade away. IDK what the UFC should do. Give him a title shot or 1 more challenge fight?
