As you all know GSP said after the Matt Hughes vs BJ Penn that he was not impressed with Matt Huges' performance in that fight and I have to say that I was not impressed at all with this fight. Matt Hughes was in big trouble and was saved by the bell. Then in the third round Penn looked like a different fighter (looked tired)... If Penn had the proper training time and cardio he would be the champ once again.

Thats what I said too. I said BJ would dominate Hughes in round one and get tired in the middle of the second and maybe submit Hughes in the second. Then I said however if it goes in the third, Hughes will win. Thats why he did win. St. Pierre is the man and hopefully can stop Hughes from taking all my vbookie betting points!

Well first of all, Hughes basically won the second round if you ask me, regardless of what Eddie Bravo thinks.

He was "saved by the bell", however it's BJs own fault he didnt apply that submission earlier. You cant fault Matt Hughes for that.

And finally, I agree, it wasnt that impressive, it by all means wasnt dominate...but still, you HAVE to give credit to Matt Hughes. Conditioning is part of the game man, you cant say "If BJ didnt gas he would have won", that's bullshit, you do not know that. That's like saying "If he didnt get him in that armbar he would have won"...that's just the way it goes man. Hughes wanted it more, he was more hungry, he was in better shape, and he took it Penn bro, plain and simple. There are no excuses for BJ Penn, whether he was in shape or not, that was his own fault, and when you face Matt Hughes you KNOW you have to be in shape...no ands, ifs, or buts about it.

And as for GSP saying that, though I'm sure he meant it...but the only reason he did it was to stir the pot man, simple as that, he did it to make the fight more exciting when it comes around.

Matt deserved to win that fight. Cardio is as much of fighting as any other aspect. He beat the hell out of BJ Penn and no one can except it. Sure, he was in trouble but a wins a win. And now I will say this for the fourth time tonght and will continue to until someone acknowledges me. Matt Hughes looked more impressive against Penn than GSP did.

Is this saying that Penn didn't have the proper training time and cardio? He looked like crap against Pierre too, did he not have enough time for his either? Don't blame time. He has been fighting for a while. His training time had nothing to do with it. Cardio is what hurt him. Again! That is his fault.

I agree, but he did not have to get up an take Matts moment, I am not a Hughes fan....but that was disrespectful anyway you look at it.

Did you not notice that as soon as the fight was stopped...Matt looked right at GSP, pointed and said "I want you!" That gave GSP every right to get up there and say what he did. Matt started it now hopefully GSP will finish it in the next fight.

Hughes had his head out of Penn's lock as soon as the bell rang. Besides if Penn had him in that lock with 5 minutes remaining Hughes would have survived it.... even if he didn't get out of it. Hughes has too much power & stamina.

Bj probably gassed because of the failed submission attempts, they take alot of energy to apply and more energy to apply if they are not locked in and they fail.
