Top 10 fights of 07...

http://www.mmafighting.com/articles/...s_of_2007.html

Do you agree with the list? I would have Henderson/Jackson, Taylor/Davis, and Liddell/Silva all higher and I would probably not have Fitch/Sanchez on there (I'll probably have to go watch it again). I would also put Griffin/Rua on there.

Tavares vs Griffin is too low.

Wanderlei Silva vs Chuck Liddell shouldn't even be on there.

Warmachine vs J-Rock is way too high. I wouldn't have this on my top 10.

Quarry vs Sell is WAY too high. I wouldn't even have that on my top 10.

4. Jon Koppenhaver vs. Jared Rollins
Man, this fight was fun, but it definitely wasn't good enough to make my Top 10, let alone Top 4. It had no technical value or importance to it. It was fun for what it was, but I wouldn't put it on a list like this.

i dunno were like half way through jan of the new year

i cant think about the past baby

all i can think about is the future

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

I agree with both of you(Damone and kds13) and even though I like both fighters Pete Sell/Nate Quarry shouldn't be #2 either.

Why should FOTYC have to have technical value or importance? You are ranking how good the fight was, not how important the result was. The list isn't "what was the most technical or important fight of the year?". It is FIGHT of the year, so which fight was the BEST of the year. I would rank Koppenhaver/Rollins in my top 10 for sure, it had me out of my seat when Koppenhaver pounded out Rollins from the brink of defeat. I also loved Quarry/Sell, although I wouldn't quite consider it to be #2, top 10 perhaps, but not #2.

It was a sloppy brawl. I don't really consider anything like that something that qualifies for the best fight of the year. I didn't think it was that good because there was no strategy to it and neither fighter showed a ton of technical ability. Was it fun? Yes. Was it FOTY worthy? No.

Whats so hard to understand about that? Its just my opinion anyway.

I liked Leben vs Martin way more than Quarry vs Sell on the re-watch.

I agree, maybe not 'way more' but I liked Martin/Leben better than Quarry/Sell.
